Each lodge is equipped with a private hot tub located right by the front door, sheltered by a cover for rainy weather. The welcome package includes a bottle of prosecco, a large bag of crisps, and tea, coffee, milk sachets plus Tassimo coffee pods. Guests also have access to a BBQ, an air fryer, and a selection of outdoor loungers and relaxing chairs stored in a shed.
Lodge Design & Facilities
The lodges feature quirky interior decor with signs and items fixed to ceilings and joists, plus a VW camper van fridge in one lodge. All fittings and furnishings are of excellent quality, and the lodges are spotlessly clean. Facilities for disabled guests, wheelchair access, and a travel cot with high chair are provided for families.

Durham Coastal Lodges sits in a peaceful, quiet setting with well-kept gardens and views of open countryside. The property is 15 km from Lumley Castle, 19 km from Stadium of Light, and 22 km from Beamish Museum, with Newcastle city centre 30 km away. Wildlife such as hares, pheasants, and small birds visit the bird feeders on site.
Family-Friendly Features
A small play park is located on site for children, and the garden and patio area are enclosed with a gate for safe roaming. Travel cots and high chairs are included at no extra cost, and an Asda delivery pre-arranged by guests can be received and stored by the owner.
